The closest community to the new Alkimos Station

Alkimos Vista will be the closest residential community to the future city centre Alkimos Central and the new Alkimos train station. Set to become a dynamic city centre, you’ll be moments away from a bustling hub, connecting our communities for generations to come.

Alkimos Station: A game changer for public transport

The new Alkimos Station, less than 1km from Alkimos Vista, will bring essential public transport infrastructure to our growing community.

Opening on 15 July 2024, the new station at Alkimos will offer a quick 41-minute train journey to and from Perth. This important link for commuters is being delivered as part of the new Yanchep Line, formerly known as the Joondalup Line.

The Noongar place name for Alkimos Station is Kyleeup and the narrative is ‘Place of the Kylee (Boomerang)’.

Located within DevelopmentWA’s Alkimos Central city centre development, Alkimos Station access will be just south of Alkimos Vista along Marmion Avenue, at Brindabella Parkway.

Find out how to get to Alkimos Station and plan your journey on the new Yanchep line via Transperth’s Journey Planner.

Enhanced connectivity with Mitchell Freeway extension

The Mitchell Freeway extension to Romeo Road, which opened in July 2023, has already improved the daily commute for Alkimos Vista residents.

Romeo Road, less than 1.5km south of Alkimos Vista and directly opposite our sister community Alkimos Beach’s main entrance, provides direct access to the Mitchell Freeway.

Comprehensive local bus services

Our community is well served by local Alkimos bus services. Starting 15 July 2024, you can catch the 486 bus along Marmion Avenue for connections between Alkimos and Butler Train Stations.

For other Marmion Avenue services, you can catch the 490 bus running between Two Rocks and Butler Train Station and the 491 bus running between Yanchep and Butler Train Station.

Plan your route via Transperth’s JourneyPlanner for the best options.

Alkimos Central: A new city centre hub

Next to Alkimos Vista, the future Alkimos Central city centre, being developed by DevelopmentWA, is set to become a pedestrian friendly and transit-oriented hub. Located within Alkimos Central, the City of Wanneroo’s Alkimos Aquatic Recreation Centre is expected to be completed late 2026. Stage one of the retail precinct completion is expected early 2027.
