The Alkimos Pop Up Library is moving to a new, bigger home
We are pleased to announce that from Monday 15 July the Alkimos Pop Up Library will be relocating to a bigger and better home in the Gateway Shopping Precinct, Alkimos Beach.
The new Pop Up Library will be directly across the road from the existing space on Turnstone Street, next to the medical centre.
The new venue will provide a much larger space, perfect for workshops, programs, seminars and meetings. The inclusion of an internal toilet also provides a more convenient space to be used by local groups and organisations as a free community space.
The New Pop Up Library will also continue to provide popular library services, with over 1,000 books and other items available for loan from the shelves, as well as access to all of the City of Wanneroo collection, free Wi-Fi and community notices. Members are able to check out and return their selections as well as pick up reservations using the self-check terminals and tablets.
Popular existing programs such as the BeachSAFE first aid courses, It’s All About Play, Lego Club and It’s All About Stories will continue in the new location from Monday 15 July.
Please note the Pop Up Library will be closed from Saturday 22 June while relocation works are undertaken. You can visit the Clarkson or Yanchep/Two Rocks Libraries during this time.
