Surf Life Saving WA
Be Part of Australia’s First BeachSAFE Community
With Alkimos Beach becoming Australia’s FIRST Surf Lifesaving endorsed BeachSAFE community; the three year partnership will bring an important Surf Lifesaving WA (SLSWA) presence to Alkimos Beach, focusing on saving lives and building community capacity. The BeachSAFE program is based on four key principles of beach safety; Supervision, Aquatic Education, First Aid and Emergency Preparedness.
What does this mean for Alkimos Beach residents?
All residents in the City of Wanneroo have access to these programs, and they are FREE OF CHARGE specifically to Alkimos Beach residents! BeachSAFE is currently being delivered at the beach, in community spaces and also at St James' Anglican School.
Many residents have already taken advantage of the free BeachSAFE programs, which are valued at up to $200. Programs include SurfBabies, SurfKids, Surf Rescue and Senior First Aid.
Residents can also keep an eye out for invitations to BeachSAFE programs in their inbox, letterbox and on the Alkimos Beach Facebook page
