Leatherback Pavilion

Construction of the City of Wanneroo’s Leatherback Sports Pavilion at Leatherback Oval, Alkimos Beach was completed early 2021.

The building, features a:

  • Multi-purpose room
  • Change rooms
  • Kiosk and Kitchen
  • First aid room / umpire room &
  • Public toilet


The Pavilion is already home to multiple local clubs including Brighton Seahawks Junior Football Club, Eglinton Junior Cricket Club and the Alkimos Pirates Lacrosse club.

If you are interested in booking the Pavilion, contact the City of Wanneroo’s Facility Booking team on 9405 5000.

Sprout Community Hub - Alkimos Vista

Open Thurs & Friday 9am-1pm, Sat & Sun 9am-3pm

Located at Picasso Park, Alkimos Vista, the much-loved Sprout Community Hub is the place for residents to meet and connect over barista made coffee throughout the week.

Known as ‘A little place for a little while’ Sprout Hub is a temporary and early community activation centre, offering a place for residents and visitors to get a great coffee, attend events and workshops and connect with other community members.

Coming Soon – Alkimos Aquatic & Recreation Centre

Alkimos Town Centre, adjacent to Alkimos Beach is the proposed location of the Alkimos Aquatic and Recreation Centre (AARC), within easy access of the future freeway and railway extension.

The Aquatic Centre, due to open in 2026 will provide a variety of facilities including an indoor leisure and children’s pool, outdoor lap pool, sports courts, gym, group fitness change rooms and a café.
