Werribee is the Capital of Melbourne’s New West
The Harpley community is set to be in the hub of western Melbourne’s exciting redevelopment. On completion, Werribee will be like a mini city in itself with everything centralised for residents’ convenience.
Watton Street in Werribee is already a hive of activity and has loads to offer the Harpley community. As well as the essential amenities such as cafes, bakeries, a supermarket, post office, bank and takeaway shops, there are all the additional services to help take care of your wellbeing. Make friends at the local F45 gym, book in for a relaxing salt treatment or top up on your beauty products at the pharmacy.
If that’s not enough, Watton Street is also home to Werribee train station which will deliver you on a quick and easy ride direct to the city. In fact, since 2017 80 additional train services have been added to Werribee and Wyndham Vale stations, showing just how much growth there is in the area.
Wyndham City has pledged to commit $250 million to major building and redevelopment projects in Werribee City Centre which will see an urban planning refocus on the beautiful waterways and parklands of the neighbourhood. Waterside offices, apartments, dining and amenities will transform Werribee into an even more modern and vibrant place to live.
This will include 5,000 square metres of office space and 2,500 square metres of retail and café space for around 600 local job opportunities. On top of this, there will be an over 8,000 square metre Integrated Community Learning Hub, more childcare services and 1,400 new carparking spaces.
