Wrapping up the year at Aurora

Season's Greetings from Aurora

This year has again thrown a lot at us; floods, COVID outbreaks, lockdowns and even an earthquake. At Lendlease, we are in awe of the resilience and community spirit shown in our neighbourhoods.

We wish you and your family a relaxing and safe festive season, a fun summer, and most of all - a rest - we’ve all earned it.

Please note, our Sales and Information Centre will close from 5pm on Thursday 23 December 2021 and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January 2022. We look forward to greeting you in the new year.

Reconnecting community Image

Reconnecting community

Over the course of 2021, we’ve been planning the next phase. We have some exciting ideas to reconnect residents and help build bonds shaken by social distancing during the pandemic.

We’ve got opportunities for you to tell us what you love about your home, discussions on topics you’re thinking about, grants to help you reconnect, and events to explore and celebrate our places and spaces.

If you would like to share your insights with us, please send an email to: viccommunities@lendlease.com and mention 'AURORA' in the subject line

2021 saw the newly opened Ganbu Gunlinj Community come alive with activity; maternal child health consultants were on site, as well as a consultation space for allied health and community meeting rooms.

We saw Edgars Creek Primary School open with Wallaby Childcare Centre and Ganbu Gunlinj Kindergarten also welcoming students for the first time early in 2021.

Clubhouse and wellness activities underway

During 2021 Lendlease marked the start of construction on a new $5 million clubhouse and wellness precinct at Sherwin Rise retirement community at Aurora with a sod turning and smoking ceremony.

During the extended lockdown Sherwin Rise hosted online wellness activities. The Tai Chi was so successful it was extended and will be back in February 2022. Sherwin Rise at Aurora is a recently opened over 55s community.
