Aurora’s Sprout Hub closes its doors

After three years, the Sprout Hub community activation will be wrapping up on 20 December.

The Sprout Hub was opened next to the Aurora Sales office in 2016 to support the emerging community in the early stages of the development.  Since then, the community has grown from five residents to approximately 2,050!

The lovely Sprout Hub staff have hosted many family-friendly activities, supported great community initiatives via their Seedling Fund Community grants, served up snacks and coffees and have always been up for a chat!  The team have been great at introducing residents and connecting people with local services.

Since the project began, the Aurora community have had some impressive community and economic outcomes, including;

  • 2,090 people attending 175 different activities and events

  • $16,423 awarded to local community groups via The Seedling Fund

  • 56 per cent of people said the Sprout Hub   provided more opportunity for social connection.

We welcome you to check out the full results on the Aurora Sprout Hub Three Year Impact Scorecard.

Come and join us for a Last Hurrah - Sprout Hub Project Celebration on Saturday 7 December, 11am-1pm to celebrate the festive season and remember all the fun we’ve had over the years! We will have games and give-aways for the kids.

Although it will be sad to say goodbye, there are a number of community hubs nearby by;
