Vibrant new art celebrated at Adventure Park, Aurora

Cutting the ribbon at Adventure Park, Aurora

On Harmony Day, late last month we were pleased to unveil some beautiful new art created by students from Al Siraat College and Edgars Creek Secondary College at Adventure Park.

New neighbourhoods create an opportunity to build a local identity from scratch. Young people play an important role in the emerging Aurora community. This public art project represents what being a young person means to local high school students in this community. It is a collaborative piece developed over a series of workshops with students from Al Siraat College and Edgars Creek Secondary College.  The art work responds to themes of: Culture, Diversity, Nature and Creativity.

The art project was a City of Whittlesea project led by Council’s Youth Services Team Baseline for Young People. We thank the participants from Year 8 at Al Siraat College and Year 7 from Edgars Creek Secondary College for their contributions. This project was proudly supported by Lendlease and CoDesign Studio.
