Bounce a Ball at Mill Park Basketball Stadium

Mill Park Basketball Stadium

Since 1993 Mill Park Basketball Stadium has been home to all the best basketball and netball action in the area. Residents of Aurora flock every night of the week to the facility to coach, cheer, support and play basketball for tiny kids right through to adults who still want to engage in healthy competition.

The stadium boasts four basketball courts which can also be converted into three netball courts as well as all the facilities to house teams, spectators and the families that support them. There are changing rooms, a canteen, meeting rooms and the stadium even makes a great venue for children’s birthday parties.

Every night of the week there is always plenty of sporting action for the residents of Aurora. On Sundays through to Thursdays there are the open aged mens’ and womens’ basketball competitions. Juniors get a look in on weekends with Victorian Junior Basketball Leaguers on Friday nights and then the Junior Domestic comp running on Saturdays for kids under 8 right through to teens under 19. The Saturday competition is a lively affair as there are 15 clubs that call Mill Park Basketball Stadium home.

If you have a budding Andrew Gaze on your hands, Mill Park Basketball Stadium is also the home ground for the Whittlesea Pacers, a team that specialises in developing kids from under 12s through to under 20s to play the sport all around the state. Older players can also try out for the seniors’ team.

For little ones, Kelly Mini Sports offers a multisports program on Mondays at Mill Park Basketball Stadium for kids aged one to 5 years old. Sports include basketball, tennis, football, cricket and soccer.

If you prefer to join in the action by watching the excitement of a live game, then head down to the stadium when the Whittlesea Pacers Seniors play on Saturday nights (usually on Court 1). All the courts have seating and Court 1 can accommodate up to approximately 1000 fans so expect a lively atmosphere. Tickets are only $6 for adults and $3 for kids so it makes for an inexpensive night of fun and support for your local club.
