Meet the Aurora Team: Kristian Sartori
If you’re walking or driving around Aurora then Kristian might be a familiar face. As a Sales Consultant for Aurora he is in the neighbourhood 5 days a week (Saturday to Wednesday) and has been working on the development for over 3 years. You can visit him and the rest of the Aurora team in the sales and information centre 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm weekdays and 10am to 5pm on weekends.
What makes Aurora a good place to live?
The residents love being here. The community is very vibrant and diverse and the Aurora residents’ committee is very involved in the local area.
What makes the Aurora community a good place to bring up kids?
There are large open spaces within Aurora but just a few minutes away there are sporting clubs and facilities as well as established schools, shops and other community facilities. Aurora is one of the few new developments within 25 kilometres of the Melbourne CBD so close to established infrastructure; most new land developments are promising this whereas it is already here at Aurora and, if it’s not, it is being built.
We have a public primary school due to open in January 2017 and a shopping centre, including Coles and Aldi, opening in late 2017. You can see these under construction.
Where is your favourite place to grab your coffee and lunch around Aurora?
The Aurora General Store & Café do a great coffee and have lots of other things to grab if you are in a hurry. They do a really good focaccia which I am partial too.
Where is your favourite place to catch up for a meeting or a working lunch around Aurora?
We often have meetings at Galada Community Centre which is a great venue. It’s a great resource right in the heart of Aurora. They often have community meetings and events there as well as a kindergarten.
Where is your favourite place to go for after work drinks around Aurora?
We, the Aurora team, sometimes head down to Epping Plaza for a meal after work and there is everything you want. A variety of restaurants and always a great atmosphere.
What is the one special secret about Aurora that only the locals know?
There is a long park along Gammage Boulevard which is a nice spot for a walk and there are a lot of little spots you can stop and collect your thoughts or just enjoy the peace and quiet.
