Information provided below is correct as at December 2018.

Development to Date

The Aurora Sales and Information Centre and Parklands are conveniently connected to the Aurora Village Shopping Centre, with access to Coles, Aldi, a Medical Centre, 24-hour gym, Cafes and Specialty stores plus the Harvest Home Primary School, via Edgars Road. This connection provides greater accessibility to the Hume freeway in the North and established shopping, local businesses and several prominent Higher Education facilities in Epping, to the South. Yann Drive construction is also now complete with this road open to the public. Yann Drive is an alternative access route from Craigieburn Road East, into Stages 11-16 which then connects through to Edgars Road.
During the month of November construction in Stages 18, 30, 31, 40, 41, 50 and 51 is well underway. Landscaping of Edgars Creek and the Public Transport corridor now complete and open to the public. The new Hike and Bike trails will provide opportunities for further integration and connection throughout the local community.
Aurora has sold out of the first two precincts and Lots in the Edgars Creek precinct are complete with titles received and customers settled, building and moving into their new homes. Aurora has already welcomed over approximately 750 new residents now living in the Edgars Creek precinct from Stages 1-10. The Prospect precinct is sold out with construction complete on most stages. Stages 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 17, 19 and 20 have titled. Valuation access will be made available in the lead up to construction completion as advised by the Sales Team.

Stage 20


Statement of Compliance is complete and this stage is now titled.

Stage 30


Water reticulation works, service crossings installations and subgrade drainage works are complete. Kerb and channel works are in progress.

Titles for this stage are forecast for March–April 2019.

Stage 40


Concrete works are in progress. Top soiling has commenced. Titles for this stage are forecast for March–April 2019.

Stage 41


Electrical installation works are complete. Roadworks pavement construction through to base asphalt level and concrete works are in progress. Concrete works and top soiling has commenced.

Titles for this stage are forecast for March–April 2019.

Stage 50 & 51


Sewer works have progressed past the half way mark, with drainage works taking place progressively behind. Water main works will commence imminently.

Titles for this stage are forecast for June–August 2019.

Stage 18


Stripping works are complete and earthworks are in progress. Sewer forecast to commence in December 2018. Titles for this stage are forecast for September-November 2019.

Stage 31

Parks, playgrounds and sportsgrounds

  • Public Transport Corridor, Hike and Bike trail in Precinct 1 is now complete and open to the public
  • Edgars Creek Park is near completion and opening is anticipated for December 2018
  • The Public Transport corridor completion and opening is anticipated for December 2018
  • Threshold Park adjacent to Edgars Creek Secondary School is now complete and open to the public
  • Edgars Road has now been turfed and street trees have been installed
  • Stage 14-17 street landscaping is now complete
  • Village Park 3, located in Stage 14 is currently under construction
  • Kanangra Terrace Entry Park, located in Stage 15 is currently under construction

Community and facilities


Aurora is a Six Star Green Star community featuring fibre optic network connection provided to all homes by Opticomm. Aurora has a number of cultural heritage parks with WiFi hotspots and solar trees harnessing solar power for charging mobile devices. Aurora is invested in sustainability and the environment and is only a maximum of 400 metre distance to recreational facilities for all residents.
Existing facilities within the Aurora precinct are: Creeds Farm Living and Learning Centre, Galada Community Centre and Wallaby Child Care Centre. There are many places of interest within close proximity to Aurora like Heide Museum of Modern Art, Growling Frog Golf Course and Restaurant, Tramway Museum and several Community Festivals and Local Markets.
In addition to the Edgars Creek Secondary College building, nearby the multimillion dollar district oval (synthetic) is currently under construction and opening this year.
Getting to Aurora is easy! It’s just 25km from Melbourne’s CBD with direct access to major road networks, including the Hume Freeway. You also have the choice of two major train stations, Epping and South Morang.
