At Aurora, there are exciting construction works happening in all directions! It is our pleasure to provide you with our latest Aurora Project update, highlighting the progress on civil construction, community infrastructure and amenity announcements. We are pleased to announce the Edgars Creek Community Centre remains on-track for completion and handover to Whittlesea City Council in June-July 2020.
A new, culturally relevant name has been proposed for the centre - Ganbu Gulinj Community Centre. Ganbu Gulinj represents ‘One Mob’ in the Wurundjeri language, which is an inclusive message to our community that everyone is welcome in this space! Once complete, the Community Centre will include:
- A triple-unit kindergarten, for both three and four-year-old kindergarten programs
- A double-unit maternal and child health hub and visiting services consulting suite
- A community room and kitchenette.
Linear ReserveThe Linear Reserve, running east-west through Precinct 2 will provide pedestrian connection between Yann Drive and Macedon Parade. This fully landscaped reserve is complete with shelters, picnic seating, basketball key and ring, active play and even a flying fox! With play equipment installed, the grass is establishing so we aim to have the reserve open in Spring 2020.
Bike Path WorksThe infrastructure project, Love Branch Sewer Part B, will be delivered by Lendlease Aurora on behalf of Yarra Valley Water. This will facilitate a live branch sewer connection for future stages within Precinct 3 and Precinct 4. Walkers and cyclists should be aware that the contractor will be working in the vicinity of the Galada Tamboore Bike Path adjacent to the Hume Freeway. Aurora residents can access this fantastic bike path from Paior Circuit. Works will commence in May 2020, and construction is forecast to be complete by Mid-2021
Upcoming Display VillageAurora will be embarking on a new Display Village and Sales and Information Centre. The Display Village will be opening in Spring 2021 and feature over 40 display homes with a variety of product mix to cater for a range of lot widths and depths. Civil works are in progress with watermain works well under way. Road boxing and subgrade works have commenced, whilst lot filling works are also taking place. Titles for this stage are forecast for October – December 2020, with builders commencing construction thereafter.
Stage 42B and EASTSTONE Avenue/Yann Drive Intersection
We are pleased to advise that construction on the Eaststone Avenue/Yann Drive intersection is now complete!
Stage 42b and Stage 43 registered at the titles office on Wednesday 22nd April. Settlements have now commenced and we looking forward to seeing our newest residents start construction on their homes.

We are pleased to announce that titles for this stage are registered. Stage 18 will feature 72 YoYo townhomes, which will be delivered by Rivergum Homes. Rivergum are due to commence construction works on site in June 2020.
