Aurora’s beautiful and creative public spaces, combined with new community and education facilities, giving an exceptional future.
Only 25 kilometres from Melbourne, Aurora has direct major access to the Hume Freeway, two major train stations and two dedicated bus routes. Public Transport Victoria has also announced a new Epping North and Wollert bus network.
There are two town centres. These purpose-built retail and lifestyle hubs include Coles, Aldi, a medical centre, 24-hour gym, cafes and specialty stores. Aurora is also close to Pacific Epping Shopping Centre, Westfield Plenty Hill, Epping North Shopping Centre, Melbourne Wholesale Market and Epping Homemaker Centre.
Aurora is home to two operational primary schools, Harvest Home Road and St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and the brand-new Edgars Creek Secondary College. Two more Community Activity Centres and a District Library are also planned for Aurora.
Aurora is 630ha in size and only half of the masterplanned community has been developed – there is still 315ha of facilities, parklands and amenities to arrive in Aurora.
Upon completion Aurora will be home to 25,000 families with approximately 3,100 new houses still to be built. This will make Aurora and greater Whittlesea one of the fastest growing populations in Melbourne.
