Rev up the fun: Atherstone’s drive-in was a hit!
Roll the credits! Residents experienced the magic of cinema under the stars at Atherstone’s drive-in cinema event early February.
The setting was an idyllic fit for the sold-out event. Over three nights, the open space near Atherstone’s Sales Centre provided room for cars to park and families to spread out on picnic blankets under the night sky.
While the screen projected beloved films including Marley & Me, Back to the Future, and Shrek, couples and families cosied up, savouring delicious treats and relishing the fun atmosphere of the alfresco cinema.
And the cooler conditions didn’t dampen spirits either (thanks Melbourne!), with the atmosphere remaining positively electric, spreading grins far and wide amongst guests.
Georgina, known as @woolandwillow on Instagram, seized the opportunity to make unforgettable memories with her family, delighting in the drive-in movie, playing family games and enjoying some of the delicious food on offer.
“The whole family enjoyed the drive-in cinema event,” Georgina said. “The kids had the best time playing the lawn games and the food trucks were simply delicious. We look forward to attending more events in the future at Atherstone.”
Dos Diablos Mobile Cantina brought a spicy taste of Mexico to the event, serving up some delicious traditional Mexican dishes that had everyone's taste buds jumping. And for those with a sweet tooth, Sweet Forbidden Journeys was there with a tempting array of desserts that were impossible to resist.
And just like that, the credits rolled on Atherstone’s drive-in cinema event, leaving behind a trail of happy memories and satisfied taste buds. With a magical atmosphere, delicious food, and fantastic movies, this outdoor cinematic experience was the perfect way for residents to enjoy a community night out.
