Melton Health and Community Services health hub officially opens
World-class community health, mental health and family services are now accessible under the one roof at the Melton Health & Community Services health hub, officially opened on 7th May 2019 by
Minister for Health Jenny Mikakos.
The cutting-edge $21 million health hub, located in Barries Road, Melton, offers a one-stop shop for families’ health needs. The new facility is home to services offered by Djerriwarrh Health Services, Melbourne Health-Midwest Area Mental Health Service, MacKillop Family Services, Cohealth and Odyssey House Victoria.
These organisations will work together and deliver a broad range of treatment and support such as women’s, children’s and family services, Aboriginal health, chronic disease prevention and early intervention, mental health, and alcohol and drug services.
In addition to this health facility and closer to home for Atherstone residents, the Labor Government has committed $2.3 million to begin planning for a new hospital at Cobblebank in Atherstone’s Metropolitan Activity Centre.
