Lendlease’s Atherstone listed as the top-selling Victorian community

Homebuyers are flocking to Lendlease’s Atherstone community located in Melbourne’s West with the community named the fastest selling.

Listed as the top-selling Victorian community in 2017 and again for the first quarter in 2018*, the Atherstone project continues to attract strong buyer interest with over 800 new home blocks sold in the last 12 months and over 450 families expected to move into the area in 2018.

Purchasers have been drawn to the opportunity to build a family home alongside existing amenities and are enjoying the community activities centred around the Bridge Road Children’s and Community Centre and the Regional Play Space.

Nestled along unique bushland of the Toolern Creek is the Regional Sports Precinct, which features state-of-the-art athletics and hockey grounds, and is home to Melton City Little Athletics and the Melton Hockey Club.

The Ballarat Line Upgrade and the new Toolern station, located near Ferris Road in Melton South, is a game-changer for the 15,000 people that will call Atherstone home.

The new train station, due to open late 2019, and adjoining bus interchange will bolster transport connections to the CBD and beyond.

Access around the community will be improved once bridge construction works on Bridge Road are completed this year in late 2018.

Lendlease has committed to supporting the Melton region by launching The Exchange, a new skills, jobs and enterprise initiative that provides access to local jobs for local people.

The Exchange will act as a facilitator of training and skills development, connecting locals to employment opportunities and information about businesses, social enterprises, community groups and services.

Atherstone is a 481-hectare master planned community and will have around 4,500 homes upon completion, with a population of approximately 15,000 people.
