Meet Our Atherstone Community Staff: Van Ritchie

Van Ritchie Atherstone

Van Ritchie is a Lendlease Sales Associate who has just joined the Atherstone community team. Even in her short time in the community she has been impressed by the diversity of residents who call Atherstone home and excited about how comprehensive the master planned neighbourhood is. You can find her at the Atherstone Sales and Information centre from Fridays to Tuesdays.

What are the top 3 best things about the Atherstone community and Melton area?

There is so much to see and do; [so many] parks and gardens and a variety of family friendly activities to tap into. Melton has wonderful parks for its locals, Bridge Road Children’s and Community Centre,  the Regional Play Space, Victoria University Melton Campus and a number of sporting grounds for sport enthusiasts, just to mention a few.

What makes the Atherstone community different from other neighbourhoods?

Atherstone is a beautiful master planned community with a quarter of the estate dedicated to open space. Locals can enjoy the region’s largest sport precinct. There are hockey fields, athletic tracks and local parks for families to enjoy. Atherstone’s western boarder is distinctively made up of 100 hectares of regional park.

What is the best community facility or resource in the Atherstone community?

There are two community facilities currently thriving in Atherstone. The Western BACE, off Ferris Road, and Bridge Road Children’s and Community Centre.

Western BACE offers work life balance for residents with office spaces for rent and small business opportunities.

Bridge Road Children’s and Community Centre offers maternal and child healthcare, occasional childcare and kindergarten facilities. What is so great about it is when you walk outside, families can enter the play space to have fun before heading home.

What is the one best kept secret about the Atherstone community?

The best kept secret about Atherstone is there are so many things planned for its residents. Sporting grounds, Atherstone will be minutes away from the future Toolern Train Station (due for completion in late 2019), two future primary schools, a children’s traffic school and much, much more.

What kinds of families call Atherstone home?

Many young families call Atherstone home. We have many couples planning to build and establish their lives here. There are offerings for everyone at Atherstone. We will see many more homes being built this year so it is exciting to know more families will move in to enjoy everything Atherstone has to offer and call it home.

Why do you enjoy working in the Atherstone community?

I love working at Atherstone because I get to share with customers all the wonderful things Atherstone has to offer and the exciting future plans for the estate. I get to meet existing residents and residents moving in. The Atherstone Sales Team would love to meet you so please come and visit us at the Sales and Information Centre!

The Atherstone Sales and Information Centre is open Monday 1pm to 5pm; Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday to Sunday 10am to 5pm.
