Atherstone Gets A New Park

The Stone Ridge community is about to get a brand new open green space to share. Your new local park will be situated between Stonehenge Drive and Shale Pass, in between Alabaster Avenue and Duloe Rise.

The park will boast a large grass area perfect for kicking balls and running children’s games. In fact you could easily host a birthday party here as there is a playground with multiple climbing frames, slides, rockers and swings.

Right next to this is a paved shelter that also has a drinking fountain – a good pit stop between games.

Adjacent to the shelter will be a half basketball court so that budding athletes can practice their hoops.

The entire Stone Ridge Reserve will be surrounded by native trees, grasses and plants with views to Toolern Creek and beyond making this an idyllic outdoor space for the entire family.

Keep an eye out for the construction vehicles as work begins at the end of March with Stone Ridge Reserve due to be completed in August. The project will be managed by commercial landscape company ULS Group.
