Western BACE

Atherstone BACE

How can you reduce your commute to work from Atherstone? By working in Atherstone.

The Western BACE (Business Accelerator and Centre for Excellence) is a commercial centre developed specifically to encourage commercial growth and enterprise right within the Atherstone area. And it’s not just for big business.

Opened in 2015, the Western BACE is a centre where not only can you rent shopfront space, you can rent a commercial office or even just a hot desk. This means that businesses of any size can have access to the facilities on site (which include a professional shared reception meet-and-greet area, optic fibre services already installed, conference areas and commercial postal address) as well as the intellectual advantage of getting to network with other like-minded individuals over lunch, coffee or in the common areas through the other tenants.

Plus it removes the need for tenants to worry about the commitment of a long term lease and fitting out of a commercial space.

But what’s most impressive about the Western BACE is so much more than just it’s physical rentability.

The City of Melton and its partners (including Lend Lease, Atherstone’s developer, and the Suburban Jobs Program) are committed to seeing real long term jobs, infrastructure and commercial growth in the Atherstone and greater Melton areas. So to support their tenants at Western BACE, they offer a business mentorship program to invest in ensuring the success of these enterprises.

Do you have a business you’ve been running from home (or have been just getting off the ground) for the last year or two and need to take it to the next level? For businesses who are just starting out there is a 3-year Business Accelerator Program. Business mentors will assist you to set commercial milestones and learn new skills specific to your business including improving areas such as leadership, financial management, marketing and even just setting up a business model. Those who sign up to the Business Accelerator Program also have the additional advantage of only committing to a month-by-month rental agreement at Western BACE of a space that could be an office, a workshop or even a warehouse.

Additional vocational training is also available on site.
