Bespoke Art Framing

Local Brookfield residents Joseph, Angeline and Tracey make up the team at Bespoke Art Framing (Warehouse 3, Western BACE, 222 Ferris Rd., Melton South, 8560 1855). They have lived in the Melton area for five years and are seeing a boom in the neighbourhood – so much so that they moved their business into the Western BACE development in April this year. These framers specialise in handmade bespoke frames that are manufactured onsite in their studio. They can frame just about anything that you need from masks to ornaments to war medals to wedding cake toppers..

What do you guys do at Bespoke Art Framing?

Being small business owners, we wear all hats. Whether it be designing and handcrafting our frames or doing the stock ordering and admin – we love it all and love to jump right in and get our hands dirty.

Why did you decide to move Bespoke Art Framing to Western BACE in Atherstone?

When we were considering a new location for our business, we were looking for a beautifully designed space and the right location for us. [We wanted to be] closer to some of the development areas of Melton. This is what first led us to discovering the Western BACE.

Once we met with CEO Mark Corrie CEO and heard about the Western BACE Business Accelerator Program we just fell in love with the idea of being part of it and the opportunities it would give us to help grow our business.

What do you like about working at Western BACE? Why should other small businesses consider moving there?

We love working in the same space as so many talented, motivated people who are also working so hard to make their dreams happen. The Western BACE Business Accelerator Program takes us through a tailored program and gives us exposure to some experts in their fields who can assist us in growing our business, which is just what we needed. We knew we had the passion for what we did (and we were not short of ideas) but needed some help bringing it all together and helping us to really fine tune our vision and goals for the future of Bespoke Art Framing.

What does Bespoke Art Framing specialise in?

We are all about sharing life’s stories by framing life’s treasures. We understand our customers are leaving their precious pieces with us, whether that be their family heirlooms (such as war medals, wedding photos, birth certificates) or their own artwork, so we make sure we keep it safe and in good hands

What is your personal favourite small business at Western BACE?

Don’t make us choose! We love them all. There is Adelle at LoveTEAse who supplies us all with her amazing tea infusions; Lyndell from Affinity Design, a very talented Graphic Designer who we have already collaborated with on a project with; Brooke at The Organic Place whose organic fresh fruit, veg and groceries are just divine!

But our current fave would be our new neighbour in Warehouse 4 – Leon from Events 720 – who builds amazing event stands and displays.

What are your tips for other budding entrepreneurs or small businesses considering starting up in the Melton area?

Get out there and connect with other businesses, the council and local groups – you will soon find that there are so many opportunities in the area. Melton Council offer great advice, support and resources to small businesses, and, with Melton being the centre of such a large growth corridor, there are so many opportunities for businesses to start up and succeed.

What’s exciting and new in the future for Bespoke Art Framing?
