The Exchange at Atherstone
A one stop shop connecting local people to local jobs and training

The Exchange is a Lendlease initiative which provides local residents and employers with free recruitment services and open access to employment and training opportunities. We work with new and established communities in Atherstone, Strathtulloh, Cobblebank and beyond.

Through facilitating strong links between local people, industries and businesses, we help local residents find work that enables them to spend more time doing the things they love, rather spending hours on long commutes. We also grow the skills base of the City of Melton and support diversity in the local economy – helping to grow vibrant neighbourhoods and create opportunities for generations to come.

How we work

Helping local employers, industry and business

The Exchange is looking for local employers who want to partner with us to advance local workforce participation. By understanding and specific business and specific staffing requirements, The Exchange can assist employers by selecting and referring appropriate candidates to meet their business needs.

We have sourced and filled many vacancies across Melbourne’s West, in industries as diverse as construction, retail, hospitality, warehousing, administration, manufacturing and health and community services. We can help organisations to draft vacancies, better understand pre-employment requirements, screen candidates and provide a local space to conduct job interviews, information sessions or group-based training.

If you are an employer and wanting to speak to someone about the assistance The Exchange can offer, please contact us directly and we can arrange a time to meet with you to discuss your needs or complete our online industry enquiry form.

Helping local residents and job seekers

The Exchange works to provide local people with access to real job opportunities across a diverse range of industries, including health and hospital related services; civil construction; building and trades; retail; administration and hospitality.

We provide advice and guidance to help residents from Atherstone, Strathtulloh, Cobblebank and beyond to navigate the current employment environment and understand tips and techniques to increase their employment options. We also provide tailored training for job seekers, helping to build local people’s skills to help them find that perfect new local job.
