Early Learning
With childcare centres, kindergartens, and maternal and child health services nearby, families can access various children’s services from the community. The Bridge Road Children’s and Community Centre is a multipurpose community facility which hosts a kindergarten, occasional care and Maternal Child Health Services. In addition, Atherstone Estate Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten caters to children aged from 6 months and Cobblebank Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten caters to children aged from 6 weeks.
Primary and Secondary Schools
Melton Primary School, Melton High School and Melton’s private schools are within close proximity of the community.
Strathtulloh Primary School opened in Term 1, 2022. It is home to an administration building which includes library, art, food & science learning spaces. In addition, there is a performing arts & physical education building. Outdoors you find two hardcourts, a sports field, bike shed & playgrounds. St Francis Catholic College (Cobblebank campus) opened in Term 1, 2023. Welcoming approximately 150 Year 7 students at the start of the school year, with the project growth of 1500 Year 7 to Year 12 students by 2028. For more information, click here.
Traffic Education School
Located right in the heart of the Atherstone community adjacent to the Bridge Road Regional Play Space and Children’s and Community Centre is the brand new Traffic Education School.
Featuring a simulated track, the school offers children the opportunity to learn about road signs and signals while engaging in educational activities within the open air classroom.
Atherstone locals are enjoying the fun and engaging space, designed to develop road safety skills and gain confidence on bicycles, tricycles, and scooters.
