Will there be a lot of parkland and green spaces?
More than 25% of Yarrabilba will be reserved for open space, including environmental corridors, bushland reserves, parks, landscaped areas and playing fields. How many schools will Yarrabilba have when it’s finished? A full range of education facilities will be offered, from early childcare and learning to secondary and potentially higher learning. A total of 11 schools are planned for Yarrabilba. There’s also a range of childcare centres, primary and secondary schools only a short drive from Yarrabilba.

Yes. There will be a range of shopping options available in Yarrabilba. Already there is a village centre comprising an IGA, and a range of cafes and take-away food options, as well as a Caltex service station and Star Mart that is open 24/7. The first district centre is also now open with a Coles supermarket and a McDonald’s operating 24/7. Plus medical and health facilities, professional services, hairdresser and more! Yarrabilba will also have a sub-regional town centre (40,000 – 50,000sqm) plus another district centre and more neighbourhood centres.

How many jobs will the project create?
Employment is a key focus, with a target of over 13,000 on site jobs. A 100+ ha Mixed Industry Business Area (MIBA) is planned to accommodate a range of light & service industries, business park activities and other mixed and supporting uses. Over 12% of all on site jobs are expected to operate as work-from-home businesses.
