Yarrabilba builder laid the foundations for a thriving community

Fast forward nine years and Alan has become of Yarrabilba’s most prolific builders and will soon chalk up 50 completed homes.

In recent years, Alan has witnessed a boom in owner-occupier customers drawn to our community’s relaxed lifestyle, location and constantly growing list of services.

Surrounded by nature with dedicated parklands and green open spaces, Alan says he saw the potential to invest in Yarrabilba back in 2012.

“I had a friend who mentioned Yarrabilba as the next booming residential corridor. I immediately saw the benefits of building there as Lendlease are renowned for creating established, sustainable communities,” Alan said.

“I poured the first slab in Yarrabilba in December 2012. I remember standing there and doing a 360 and realising the significance of being the first builder. Now nine years on, I have built 49 homes in the community.”

The pandemic affect has seen buyer’s lifestyle requirements change over the past 12 months. Spending more time at home, savvy buyers are on the hunt for larger properties, bigger backyards, and a thriving community hub.

“Recently, I have seen a trend of owner-occupiers drawn to Yarrabilba. We are seeing close to 90 per cent of people buying to live in their own home. I even sold one of my homes to a 22-year-old from Sydney. Coming from Sydney, Yarrabilba offered a quality home at an affordable price,” Alan said.

“I feel very lucky for the support I have received over the years and have been grateful to have worked with fantastic people like Tracie at Lendlease.”

Founded on innovation and a collaborative spirit, Yarrabilba continues to flourish as a community built for residents both now and into the future.

Yarrabilba is fast becoming a property hot spot as Logan soars ahead as one of Queensland’s fastest growing regions. In just over 20 years, Logan’s population is predicted to grow by more than 50 per cent to around 548,000 residents.
