World-class specialist health hub to service Yarrabilba residents

Set to open its doors in the new year, the state-of-the-art ‘Yarrabilba Health City’ will incorporate speciality units for Cardiology, Oncology, radiology, a dental surgery, and allied health care.

‘Yarrabilba Health City’ Directors Dr Shashi Ranjan and Dr Umesh Shetty said residents would be able to receive world-class care close to home.

“The Yarrabilba Health city will be the first of its kind for the region, a one-stop-shop for medical care,” said Dr Ranjan.

“Previously, residents have had to drive to Brisbane or the Gold Coast to see a specialist. Once the centre opens, they can be diagnosed and treated here in Yarrabilba. There are so many benefits for our patients as they don’t have to travel great distances and can have the support of loved ones close by.

“There is a growing need for a specialist centre of this kind in Yarrabilba, especially with the rapid growth of the community.”

As Australia’s fourth fastest selling project over the past nine years, more than 1,000 people move to Yarrabilba each year.

Construction is well underway of multi- million dollar facility, which will be home to up to at least 15 internationally renowned doctors. As our community grows, there is provision to create more speciality units, including an onsite pharmacy.

“This is a very exciting project, and we look forward to providing these speciality services to the people of Yarrabilba,” said Dr Shetty.

Pacific Cardiology is set to open its next branch within the centre and provide the best in Cardiac Care to the Yarrabilba community.

“Yarrabilba residents will be able to have a wide range of Radiological investigations such as CT scans, Ultrasound, X-rays and Pain management procedures through Radiant Radiology which is one of the Prominent Radiology service providers in Gold Coast.

There is also potential to open a Day Surgery Unit within the Centre.

“Having family and friends close by when undergoing treatment or having a procedure done is very important. We look forward to opening our doors in the New Year.”

Planned infrastructure like the specialist medical centre, will be able to support Yarrabilba’s growth and deliver enhanced services to the community.
