In honour of Parks Week (March 4-11) and our growing community, Lendlease are launching the Park2Park Series, celebrating the people who call Yarrabilba home with a range of ongoing events. Let’s take a look what’s happening just beyond your backyard.

Food Truck Friday at Sandstone Park featuring DogStop360
Let’s kick off our 2023 events calendar with our community’s first Food Truck Friday event. Take a night off cooking and head down to Sandstone Park for this delicious foodie activation, taking place on Friday, 17th March from 5pm-8pm. Get ready to feast on some delicious local food, catch-up with friends and even connect with neighbours.
If you are new to the neighbourhood, Sandstone Park is located centrally on Slate Street behind the High School. With a large kick-about area, shaded picnic shelters and a fully fenced playground, you can sit back and relax while the kids play all day!
This open space park flows onto bushland with many paths and running track markers for those who enjoy their Saturdays a little more fast-paced.
Movie Night Madness at Buxton Park screening Hop (2011)
Experience the magic of movies under moonlight at Buxton Park, as we set the stage for a special Easter movie screening on Saturday, 25th March – 5pm-8pm.
This family-fun affair will present an open-air cinema, free popcorn and a community barbecue. Why not invite friends and family to enjoy the moonlight movie? It will be the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind and disconnect from your busy schedules.
Buxton Park is suitable for all ages and interests, with an expansive playground featuring built-in trampolines, swings, and the wavy caterpillar-like feature to run, climb and play on.
Plus, there's undercover seating, kick about space, BBQ's, toilets and plenty of parking.
Food Truck Friday at Neumann Park
Rolling into Neumann Park will be our second Food Truck event, taking place on Friday, 31st March – 5pm-8pm. If you haven’t been to this amazing new playscape, head on down, let the kids explore while you sit back, relax and enjoy some delicious food.
Neumann Park is the newest park to open in Yarrabilba, offering a nature-based playground and nearby rock shelters that demonstrate a direct link to the past and traditional owners.
The park has been designed to encourage children to actively play within the natural surroundings and is focused on movement between spaces and levels, discovery and learning.
The park has been a big drawcard for Yarrabilba children and parents, a perfect destination for coffee catch-ups with friends and neighbours, a great new regional destination within the Plunkett Conservation Park for hikers and nature enthusiasts and a space for young and old to immerse themselves in the natural environment.
Food Truck Friday at Foxx Park
End of the week and don’t want the hassle of cooking?! Foxx Park is hosting the next community Food Truck Friday event, taking place on Friday, 21st April – 5pm-8pm. This boutique park offers a space for kids to climb and run, featuring a permanent ping-pong table, undercover area and seating. Foxx Park is also the perfect place to bring a picnic.
Movie Night Madness at Darlington Park
On Saturday, 29th April, Darlington Park will be the place to be for the community’s Movie Night Madness. Feast on free popcorn and a enjoy a community barbecue, all while watching a movie under the stars. The event will commence at 5pm-8pm.
Yarrabilba's beautiful Darlington Parklands on Darlington Drive has a 30m flying fox, water play area, climbing dome, fortress with slides, multi swing, outdoor gym, half basketball court, events oval, BBQ facilities, shade shelters and toilets.
We look forward to celebrating our evolving community, inviting residents and welcoming new faces to our exciting park activations. This is just a taste of what’s to come in the year ahead. From circus to BMX workshops and more food truck Fridays, we have everyone covered in 2023.
