Lendlease welcomes State Government support for Yarrabilba primary school site

Lendlease has welcomed a Queensland Government announcement to help fast-track the next phase of Yarrabilba, which will include a new state primary school for the popular master planned community.

The State Government will contribute $15 million towards new infrastructure works at Yarrabilba as part of its Building Acceleration Fund (BAF) program, with Lendlease co-investing $9.8 million.
The works will support 100 jobs and include earthworks, water, sewer, electrical and communications mains, streetscaping and roadworks for the next 2,000 residential lots within Yarrabilba, paving the way for the new school site.

Yarrabilba is a vibrant $11 billion community in the fast-growing Logan corridor that is already home to over 9,000 residents, four schools, two childcare centres, a shopping centre, cafes, restaurants and health services.

Lendlease Queensland Head of Development, Guy Gibson says “We congratulate the Queensland Government for this investment in vital infrastructure to support the state economy, the construction industry and the Yarrabilba community.  The $15 million BAF contribution will unlock the next exciting precinct for Yarrabilba, featuring more than 2,000 residential lots close to the school, an environmental corridor and parklands, and the future Yarrabilba Town Centre.  Today’s announcement ensures Yarrabilba can meet the growing demand for new homes in the Logan region while providing important community services and supporting local jobs.”
