Lace up your boots for the Yarrabilba Trail Fest
The Yarrabilba Trail Fest presented by The Trail Co. is back to bring the community together with their annual off-road adventure along hidden trails at the doorsteps of Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Mt Tamborine. Explore Yarrabilba’s beautiful nature trails alongside your local community all while getting fit and active. It’s a win, win, win! With three distances of trail on offer ranging from 5km to 18km, the whole family can get involved in the event on April 30th, 2023.
Trails wind through Plunkett Regional Park, Wickham National Park and Wickham Timber Reserve where you’ll discover incredible views atop rugged sandstone outcrops and explore the open eucalypt forests.
Whether you want to beat your off-road running PB or take it a little slower and embrace your surroundings by walking the course, everyone is welcome. For those who opt to walk, please only enter the short or medium events.

If you’re ready and eager to experience all that the Yarrabilba Trail Fest has to offer, then you’ll want to do this course. You’ll get a little bit of everything on this course from flat, fast sections to steep, gnarlier climbs. |
On the day, be sure to bring a water bottle or hydration vest with a minimum of 500mL fluids and your mobile phone, as well as pop-up shade, picnic chairs and rugs for before and after the event.
All participants are encouraged to stay at the event precinct and cheer until all runners have crossed the finish line. This is a great opportunity to throw down a rug, enjoy a picnic breakfast and connect with your Yarrabilba community.
For those with a competitive edge, the event will be timed with official results published shortly after the completion but there is no cut-off times for those who may prefer to enjoy the course at a more relaxed pace.
When it comes to parking, street parking is available along residential streets which are just a short walk from the precinct, and event marshals will be on site to direct cars.
All races will kick off at 7.30am sharp, and compulsory event briefing and marshalling times can be found here.
Final things to note
- There will be no luggage facilities so please make your own arrangements for storing bags and other items
- No toilets are available on the course, but there will be toilets at the race precinct
- All runners under the age of 12 must be directly accompanied by an adult guardian for the duration of the run
- Refreshment stations will be available at the event precinct at the start and finish of the race
- In the unlikely event of an emergency, First Aid will be located at the start/finish area. A tip from organisers is that it doesn’t hurt to carry a snake bandage with you for extra piece of mind.
Be sure to invite your friends and register your whole family for the event and get ready for a spectacular day together. Online entries are open until 5pm Friday 29th April unless sold out earlier. On-the-day entries will also be available if the entry limit has not been reached.
