It’s family first for the Mitchells, securing their second home in Yarrabilba

Convenience, connection and a place to create memories as a family have always been a priority for the Mitchell family when choosing a destination to call home.

Creating a bright future for their family of five, Kahlia and Braiden Mitchell are a great example of Yarrabilba’s live, work and play lifestyle.

Having previously purchased a home in the community in 2020, Kahlia, who works at the local Yarrabilba day care, wanted to build their dream home in the latest release, The Parks, ensuring their family has room to grow as their three children get older.

“We bought an established home in Yarrabilba but then sold to build in the new part of Haven in Yarrabilba. It’s a really family-friendly community that has everything you need from shops, day cares, parks and schools,” said Kahlia.

“We are currently renting in Waterford while our new home gets built, but moving back to the community that I work in and the kids go to day care, is going to make life so much easier.

“Our very first experience of our children attending day care was in Yarrabilba at Harmony and we just fell in love with the community, and it now works well because I’m also working at the day care.”

A live, work and play lifestyle is becoming increasingly desirable for homeowners, offering greater convenience, providing access to amenities, creating a healthier work life balance and a stronger sense of connectiveness.

“When we move into our new home in Yarrabilba, the morning drop-off will be so convenient and take the stress off us as a family,” said Kahlia.

“It’s exciting to be building our dream home with the way we want it to be for now and for when our children grow up. I’m excited to create those special family memories.”

Yarrabilba offers so much more than just house and land. It offers a lifestyle for families or those looking for a fresh start.

At 2,029 hectares – just under half the size of Cairns – Yarrabilba is already a thriving, modern township with four schools, four childcare centres, health services, a Coles supermarket, restaurants, cafes and sports fields and employment hubs.
