From renting to buying, building foundations for family’s future

Renting in Yarrabilba for the past three years, Marie and Anton recently seized the opportunity to own their own home in the community they live in and love, ensuring their five children remain in the same school and surrounded by extended family.

Marie said having already had a taste of life in Yarrabilba, owning their first home in the same neighbourhood created stability for her children.

“There is so much to love about living here. There’s a lot of parks and open spaces for our kids to run around,” she said.

“Our kids attend school here and have made so many friends, so we decided Yarrabilba was the perfect place to own our own home. I wanted my kids to grow up in the one area and not have to move around.

“My parents live in Yarrabilba, a few streets away from us, so it made sense that our children grow up with family around.”

Despite a competitive property market across Queensland, affordable housing and the release of new land in Yarrabilba has made the dream of home ownership a reality for many residents making to move from renting to buying.

Anton said he and his partner Marie feel a sense of belonging in Yarrabilba and were thrilled their children could grow up in a safe and secure community.

“What I like most about Yarrabilba would be Darlington Parklands and the water play area,” he said. “I love how fast everything is growing in this community. There are great parks and the schools are developing well.

“Buying in Yarrabilba means we are still a short distance from the kids’ school, which is very beneficial. It’s a really safe environment to raise a family in.”

The Parks is an exciting new precinct that will form a future green heart for Yarrabilba.

Surrounded by nature, more than 35 per cent of The Parks is dedicated to parklands and green space, creating a truly harmonic connection to the natural environment.

With a new state primary school now confirmed to open in 2023 and the future Yarrabilba Town Centre only moments away, The Parks will be one of the most connected addresses within Yarrabilba.

Buyers like Marie and Anton were able to choose from a wide range of lot sizes and locations within the first stages of The Parks, including our premium Haven village with a selection of larger home sites ideal for growing families.

The first homes are expected to start construction in 2022.
