Happy locals enjoy the Yarrabilba lifestyle

Living and working in Yarrabilba makes for an easy lifestyle for proud resident Michaela Butler. You might also recognise Michaela as the Centre Director at Harmony Learning Centre.

Moving from their Redland Bay was a sensible change for Michaela and her husband Reece thanks to Yarrabilba’s connectedness to both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and the wide range of contemporary new homes on offer.

Fast forward to four years later and the Butlers have expanded their family of three to five and established themselves as highly involved members of the local community.

You’ll find Reece at the weekend’s local Touch Football games as the League Safe Officer while Michaela is a treasured member of the annual Christmas Carols as a singer.

Michaela has also found great success in her role at Harmony Learning Centre after starting out as an educator in 2017.

Home affordability was a major factor for the young family who are thrilled to have escaped the rent trap and make their sprawling four-bedroom home a sanctuary for their three boys – Riley, 8; Ollie, 3; and Hudson, 1.

“We really wanted to get into the market and Yarrabilba was a great option for us because of its convenient location and friendly community feel,” Michaela said. “Although we’ve been here for a number of years now, we still enjoy the regular events at Easter, Christmas, Halloween, as well as movie nights and the markets.”

The Butlers have made new friends for life, having travelled with their neighbours regularly both locally and overseas to creating lasting memories. “We have a wonderful circle of friends here at Yarrabilba and we’ve been on amazing group holidays to locations like Japan, Hervey Bay and the Gold Coast,” Michaela said. “It’s lots of fun on our street. We have regular barbecues, play dates and cricket in the street on special occasions.”

An exciting new residential precinct has been unveiled in Yarrabilba to welcome more new families to our community. Dubbed The Parks, the precinct offers a wide range of home sites up to 640 square metres and is close the future town centre, a new state primary school and many parks and green open spaces, as its name suggests.
