Yarrabilba autumn community e-newsletter
In this edition we talk about the recently launched Yarrabilba Honey project. We also give you a sneak peek of the artwork produced by students from St Clare’s Primary School with Indigenous artist, Libby Harward.
Did you know that there is a biofuel plantation underway at Yarrabilba? We talk about this long-term project and how at maturation the plants will produce seeds that will eventually be harvested to obtain their oil. The oil is used to produce a diesel fuel substitute.
In other sustainability news, we also introduce an exciting new food agility project that you can be a part of too. We talk to one of the recent recipients of the Brighter Futures scholarship program. She shares how this grant will make a difference to her studies and life.
Don’t forget, our Community Grants Program is open until end of April. We share stories of some of the recent recipients on how they will use their grants as well as a link on how you can apply.
There’s plenty more inside, as well as a guide of the upcoming events in our community. Download your copy here.
