Lendlease’s Yarrabilba community cleaned up at this year’s Logan Urban Design Awards (LUDA) on Wednesday 17th October, taking out wins in three different award categories on the night.

Yarrabilba — Logan City’s highest-selling project — won the overall LUDA for its integrated environment, the Landscape Architecture & Urban Infrastructure Award for Buxton Park, and was commended in the Domestic Violence Prevention Month Initiative category for its Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Community Breakfast.

One of Yarrabilba’s residential precincts The Retreat, and adjoining Buxton Park, were also commended by the judging panel for excellence in accessibility, planning, construction standard and physical features.

Selection criteria for the Awards adopted the principle of ‘Creating Places for People’, with a focus on projects creating healthy, inclusive and social environments to benefit the community and local economy.

The LUDA is a biennial event promoting excellence in the design and creation of urban environments — large and small — within the City of Logan.
