  • Upon completion Yarrabilba is planned to have more than 17,000 residential dwellings, a town centre, neighborhood hubs, as well as community, education and employment facilities.

Open Space & Recreation

More than 25 percent of the site will be reserved for open space, including environmental corridors, bushland reserves, parks, landscaped areas and playing fields.


As a fully master planned community, there will be a total of 11 primary and secondary schools delivered as well as childcare facilities and school-based training programs.

Yarrabilba State School is located on Darnell Street and caters for students from prep to year six. For more information visit the website.

St Clare’s Primary School was the first primary school to open in Yarrabilba, opening its doors in 2017 with kindergarten to year 4. The school now caters for children from kindergarten to year 6, to find out more visit the website.

Now open, San Damiano College opened in January 2021 offering affordable, high-quality education within a framework of Catholic values and individual care for every student. Yarrabilba’s newest co-educational secondary school opened with three classes of Year 7 students before growing by one-year level until its first cohort of Year 12 students graduate in 2026. Employment is a key focus of the Yarrabilba development, with an emphasis on the creation of early on-site jobs.

A 100+ ha Mixed Industry and Business Area (MIBA) site has been identified within Yarrabilba. The MIBA will accommodate a range of light & service industries, business park activities, and other mixed uses.

The Exchange at Yarrabilba is now open. The Exchange is a one-stop shop for skills, jobs and enterprise that connects local people to local jobs. Yarrabilba has already placed over 600 local people in jobs. Services offered are:

Yarrabilba is a fully fibre-optic connected community. Residents have access to high speed broadband internet connection as well as telephone and Free to Air TV. There is free wi-fi available in all Yarrabilba parks.

Translink Route 587 running between Yarrabilba and Loganlea Station gets you to where you need to go. Running between Yarrabilba and Loganlea station, this bus gets you where you need to go with improved hours of operation, better frequency and a cheaper way to travel, especially when using a go card.
