Free Active and Healthy programs Image

Free Active and Healthy programs

Ipswich City Council offer a range of free outdoor active well-being programs around the Springfield area. These include the Active Seniors program that offers over 60’s free weekly tai chi at Robelle Domain Parklands (Tuesdays 9am). Active Parks programs include yoga at Spring Lake Park (Saturdays 9.30am).

Springfield Central Sports Complex

Springfield Central Sports Complex opened in late 2019. This $56.2 million, 22.5ha sporting complex is the single biggest boost to sporting facilities in Ipswich’s history, boasting 16 netball courts, eight tennis courts, four multipurpose sporting fields, three club houses with canteen amenity, two playgrounds and ample car parking. Six local sporting clubs now call this fantastic complex home.

Friday’s Child Craft Group

Where: Office of Charis Mullen MP, 6 Yoga Way, Springfield Central (Next door to Cold Rock Ice Cream)

Friday’s Child produce knitted and craft items that are donated to local hospitals and shelters, helping pre-term babies, oncology patients, homeless and disadvantaged groups. They also gratefully accept donations of wool, both new and leftovers which can be dropped off at Charis Mullen MP’s office.
