Readers rejoice!

Reading lovers rejoice as Shoreline is now home to its very own street library. Whether you’re a bookworm, or looking to build your collection, this is the perfect place to share a love of reading with the local community.

Located outside Letoria’s Café, the new street library gives you an excuse to grab a coffee, explore the range of books and then head to the park for some happy reading.

A dedicated group of residents have created a Facebook group to share reviews of recent reads and update the community of what’s available in the library. The collection includes everything from children’s books to adult novels and donations are always welcome.

Feel free to take, share, or give a book! Join the group at www.facebook.com/groups/1066756477826704.

Haven’t heard of a street library?!

It is a publicity-accessible space for sharing books that teach, intrigue and engage. The books come and go; you don’t need to check them in and out.

Take a book, donate a book and happy reading!

Meet the artist behind the street library’s creative design

Curious about the artist behind the beautifully painted Street Libraries? It's Julia Jones, a Redland Bay-based artist known for her Australiana-themed work, including the artwork on the electrical box.

Keep your eyes peeled as a secret book box will be installed in the Shoreline community in the coming months.
