Make way for Shoreline's first park!
Image is subject to change – the final design may be different
To celebrate Parks Week, we are unveiling plans for Shoreline’s first community park – Jingeri Park! Construction of this beautiful new space for residents, and the broader community to enjoy, will commence in the coming months.
Jingeri Park draws its name from the Danggan Balun (Five Rivers) people, where ‘Jingeri’ means “greeting all of you” in the Yugambeh language. The park has been designed to act as the perfect gathering point for residents and the wider community and has been carefully planned with a focus on sustainable, green placemaking.
This space has been thoughtfully designed to pay tribute to the bayside setting of the Shoreline community and the broader character of the Redlands. Lendlease worked closely with a team of urban designers and landscape architects from Vee Designs, along with the traditional owners of the land – the Danggan Balun (Five Rivers) people – to create a beautiful space for all to enjoy.
Soon Shoreline residents will be able to relax with a picnic in the ample green space, several shade shelters, benches and tables while the kids enjoy Jingeri Park’s impressive centrepiece – an 8.5m lighthouse and jetty play structure!
Lendlease have designed the play structure to reflect the rich history and notable landmarks of the area. The lighthouse structure has been designed to echo the Cleveland Point Lighthouse which overlooks Moreton Bay and the jetty-type addition reflects the bayside setting and character of Redland Bay.
The fun doesn’t end there! The surrounding play space will also include a hillclimber, velocity carousel and sand digger play equipment to keep the kids busy.
Along with this playscape for children of all ages, Jingeri Park will also feature a carefully curated list of native flora for residents to admire.
A variety of native species including trees, shrubs and ground covers that have significant ties to First Nations culture and reflect the diverse range of plant species in the area have been incorporated into the design of the park.
Of significance are three fig trees that are being relocated from part of the Shoreline site to provide additional shade throughout the park.

Situated near the future display village and Shoreline sales and information centre, Jingeri Parkwill act as the perfect welcoming sight for visitors and residents entering the Shoreline community.
Lendlease has long had a strong commitment to placemaking in their masterplanned communities and include thoughtful design into the parklands, green spaces and streetscapes. Jingeri Park has been designed with Lendlease’s community framework in mind to create a beautiful and sustainable space that encourages interaction across the broader community.
Lendlease is currently finalising tenders for the park and are planning to begin construction in the coming months. We can’t wait to see it!
