Curb the winter blues with Shoreline’s fun, family-friendly events

Don’t let the winter blues get you down – warm up with some family-friendly activities right here at Shoreline.

The temperatures might be low, but the vibes are certainly high at Shoreline!

With a range of fun, family-friendly events for the whole community to enjoy, let’s take a look at some of the exciting things planned within the Shoreline community during these cooler months.

Embrace the chill and be transported to another world at Shoreline’s Snow Fest in Jingeri Park! With a dome pumping snow and free beanies on arrival, attendees will be able to tuck into warm, gooey s’mores while enjoying live entertainment, games and face painting. The fun doesn’t stop there however, with a winter-themed movie planned for the big screen when the sun goes down!

Feeling hungry? A food truck will be dishing up burgers and fries, and crowd favourite, LeTorias at Shoreline, will be open for coffees, hot chocolates and treats.

Don't forget to enter the draw to win a Family Village Roadshow Theme park pass (terms and conditions apply), this will be a not-to-be-missed event.

Shoreline Markets – Jingeri Street on Friday, September 1st from 5pm

The first iteration of the Shoreline Markets was a roaring success, as vibrant sounds, smells and sights ignited the community.

If you missed the markets in July, the good news is you won’t have to wait long, with the next event planned for Friday, September 1. Brought to you by not-for-profit organisation, Mingle Markets Australia, and supported by the Shoreline Community Grants Program, this event has something for everyone. Treat yourself to delicious cuisines from across the globe, dance to live music, be intrigued by street entertainers or simply browse the array of artisan market stalls. With dozens of market stalls, you’re bound to find something you like – and make sure to bring the whole family, as there will be an animal farm and face painting for the little ones!

To keep the chill at bay, LeTorias Café will be open and serving up hot drinks and treats.

You’ll find the Shoreline Markets on Jingeri Street, Redland Bay. Street parking is available or access the event via the new Translink regular bus service that stops on Shoreline Avenue – Route 280 or 281.

Further Shoreline Market events are planned for Friday, 3 November and Friday, 2 February 2024. Follow the Shoreline Markets Facebook page for more updates.
