Who are the traditional custodians of the Elliot Springs?
The Traditional Custodians of the Elliot Springs area are the Bindal People and they call their Country ‘Thul Garrie Waja’. Wadda Mooli Park takes its name from the Bindal People’s Birrigubba language, it means welcome, or goodbye and greetings. As the centre piece of our community, it is a park we welcome the wider community to come and enjoy with us.
What is the future neighbourhood centre?
The future neighbourhood centre is a commercial area which we anticipate will have a range of retail and professional services. It’s currently in planning stages and we look forward to sharing information with the community when plans and tenancies are finalised.

OptiComm is a licenced telecommunications carrier that specialises in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) networks for new residential and business developments. OptiComm is a fully compliant premium alternative to the NBN, and has been contracted to ensure that LL’s networks are based on FTTP network technology and are available prior to the first residents moving in. The OptiComm FTTP network is based on an open access platform and offers a selection of products and services over and above those currently available on the NBN.

What are the public transportation options for Elliot Springs
There is a school bus service currently operating within Elliot Springs. Further down the track, a community bus is scheduled to operate from the occupation of the 500th residential lot. This will link Elliot Springs to the Fairfield Shopping precinct where people can then access the Townsville public transport service. It is forecast that the Townsville public transport service will extend to Elliot Springs following the occupation of the 2,000th residential lot, however this is at the discretion of the Department of Transport.
