Running victory for Bindal Ridge Fun Run
The Elliot Springs community walked, ran and even danced their way around the Bindal Ridge track, lacing up to support the annual family fun event!
A big thank you to everyone that competed in the 2022 Bindal Ridge Fun Run. It was great to see friends, family and even the four-legged pooches take to the track for a morning in the Townsville sunshine.
Taking the crown for King of the Springs was Marcel Z with an impressive run time of 24.55!
The Queen of the Springs went to Shayote S and family prizes were handed out to Veronika and Brigitte for the 3km run. Well done girls and good luck for your state school cross country.
In its second year running, event hosts QCWA Gator Girls (Alligator Creek, Elliot Springs branch) were thrilled with the community turn out, with residents and the wider Townsville public showing up in big numbers for a fun day in the winter sun.
“The Bindal Ridge Fun Run is an amazing event, that provides fitness, health and wellbeing and a lot of fun,” said event organiser Kate Annetts.
“We had 89 tickets sold and, thanks to humanitix, 100% of all booking fees went to children’s charities.
“We had a lovely family dressed up in bright tutus, and a dog nicknamed on the morning “BATDOG” owned by Marcel and Christina Z.
“Two young girls took out our 1st and 2nd family prizes for the 3km run, Veronika and Brigitte.”
Events like the Bindal Ridge Fun Run just wouldn't be possible without our supporters. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped along the way and made this event a success!
