QCWA Alligator Creek Elliot Springs Branch
ACES - who they are, what they do and how you can be one!
Want to make a difference in your local community? The QCWA Alligator Creek Branch was formed 7 years ago, formerly known as the ‘Gator Girls’. As a not-for-profit organisation under the guidance of the QCWA, ACES provides friendship, cares for community, holds fundraisers and supports rural women and their families.
The amazing Elliot Springs events (like the Bindal Ridge Fun Run, the community garden and street Halloween) aren’t a coincidence, it is the community spirit and dedication of a group of like-minded and passionate residents who make these events happen, in particular – Kate Annetts.
“Our community is growing, there is also a number of close by suburbs with lots of local groups and clubs to get involved with,” Kate said.
“ACES welcomes new members and are open to new ideas. We would love to see more local residents involved in the organisation. We have some very exciting events coming up, including the Alligator Creek Community and Sports Club cocktail party with the ACES fundraiser raffles taking place on 17 September. We are also in the planning phase for a community carols event in December.”
