Helping new home buyers on their journey! Meet our Sales Consultant Meryl

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I have lived in Townsville all my life and have two daughters (one who lives in Townsville and one in Brisbane) and two grandchildren. I Iove to walk and explore the outdoors and enjoy meeting friends for coffee and catchups. I also enjoy interior decorating and keeping up with modern housing trends, which is useful for my job!

How long have you been working at Lendlease?

I previously worked as Sales Consultant on both Riverside Gardens and Willow Gardens developments here in Townsville from 2000 to 2007. I also worked as a New Homes Sales Consultant for two of Townsville’s leading builders, before returning in 2017 to work for Lendlease again, as a Sales Consultant for Elliot Springs.

My time over in new home construction sales has been quite beneficial in my current land sales role, as I understand all the aspects of the buying and building processes and can really support our future residents on their journey – many of whom have never been through the process of building a home before!

What does an average 'day in the life' in your role look like? 

Every day is varied and busy! I usually have meetings with prospective purchasers and take people on site tours of Elliot Springs to show them what life here is like and answer all their important questions. I also work with builder sales reps, and follow-up calls, emails, website enquiries from potential future residents.

I love working with people and seeing their new homes come to fruition. I also love being involved in the design of future stages of the community and get very excited when it is time for these new stages to be released for sale.

What do you like about Elliot Springs?  

Now in our sixth year of development, our community is expanding, and Elliot Springs is a great place for growing families.  It has been something quite special to watch Elliot Springs take off and become the exciting community it is today. Having played a part in this growth is super special to me!  

Why are people choosing to buy in Elliot Springs?

We have a wide range of purchasers from singles, young professional couples, young families, established families and even retired singles and couples. Defence personnel, doctors, nurses, police and paramedics are just some of our residents in Elliot Springs, and they often refer co-workers or friends to purchase in the development.

We’re here to help with each step of the journey! We make it an easy process from the contract signing stage through to settlement and design approval and walk our buyers through the sales process from end to end. We can also assist buyers with suggested brokers and conveyancers, should they be needed. 

Once contracts are signed, future residents are gifted with Elliot Springs branded pens, which is always appreciated!
