Say hello to Happy Vibes Cafe!
We recently went out to the community to invite expressions of interest for a new operator of The Hub cafe and community meeting space. We are excited to share that Happy Vibes Cafe have been appointed as the new cafe manager. An announcement is not far off for the community meeting space manager.
Townsville based Happy Vibes Cafe is a social enterprise and not-for-profit and will be providing inclusive employment and training for people with disabilities.
Founder and Director of Happy Vibes Cafe Kristina Ihme said this means that all profits go back to where it matters, their employees.
“People with disabilities are underrepresented in the workplace and in the community, and Happy Vibes Cafe wants to change that by providing innovative and inclusive employment and community connection.
“We truly believe that everyone has the right to work in a safe and radically inclusive place.
“Happy Vibes Cafe will be different - you may get a hug with your cup of coffee, or there may be a short dance break, but don’t get me wrong, we will still be a competitive and profitable business of high quality with a great menu, aiming to connect the local community at Elliot Springs, we can’t wait to meet you all,” Kristina said.
“Happy Vibes Cafe wants to be a catalyst for positive change and will be more than just a place to grab a coffee!”
