Spooky celebrations at Elliot Springs’ Halloween Spooktacular

The young ghouls were unleashed, as Elliot Springs youngest residents dressed the part, ready to create some spooky magic this Halloween.

Organised by volunteers from QCWA – Alligator Creek, Elliot Springs Branch (ACES), children, their parents and neighbours, gathered on Saturday, October 28th for a night filled with tricks, treats and spooktacular fun!

The Elliot Springs Community Hub was transformed into a Halloween wonderland, with a range of activities for kids to enjoy. Children enjoyed Halloween party games, a scavenger hunt and a visit to a spooky faux graveyard! There was also a quiet corner dedicated to sensory play provided by Party Trays Townsville, creating an inclusive chill-out zone for little ones.

Guests got creative with Halloween themed cooking workshops and take-home arts and crafts, designing their very own Halloween decorations. Kids could take a ride on Timmy the train, grab an ice cream from the ice cream van and snap a picture with fantasy characters who made a special guest appearance to the celebrations.

Older children danced the night away in the Hub's indoor nightclub to classic party and Halloween tunes. To top off a night filled with spooktacular memories, each child received a sweet trick or treat style lolly bag to take home.

A big thank you for the wonderful ACES community group for putting on such a fun community event and all the residents and locals, for taking part, dressing up and using the event to connect with their fellow neighbours.
