It’s official! The ACES to manage the Hub
Big news is buzzing in our growing community! We’re excited to announce the QCWA Alligator Creek Elliot Springs Branch, known as the ACES, is taking the reins and now managing our beloved community hub.
They’ll be bringing an exciting calendar of community events, workshops, and more in 2024. Let's find out what they have planned!
Who are the ACES?
Formed 7 years ago, the ACES are a not-for-profit organisation under the guidance of the Queensland Country Women’s Association, dedicated to fostering friendships, supporting rural women and their families, and hosting local events and fundraisers.
Already well known in the Elliot Springs and surrounding community, the ACES are officially taking on the management of the community meeting space at the Hub in Wadda Mooli Park.
Led by the passionate Kate Annetts, the group organises some of our community’s favourite annual events like the Bindal Ridge Fun Run and spooktacular Halloween celebrations, as well as our community garden initiatives.
Plus, they're open to new members and fresh ideas – could you be the next community hero?
“ACES welcomes new members and are open to new ideas,” Kate said. “We would love to see more Elliot Springs residents involved in the organisation. We have some very exciting events coming up next year, in 2024.”
Book the Hub in 2024
As manager of the community space, the ACES will take room hire bookings as well as continue to host fun and beneficial community events and deliver community projects from the space. All room booking fees go straight back into supporting ACES and their mission to keep community spirit alive!

A vibrant calendar of events coming soon!
The ACES have exciting plans to deliver several community workshops at the Hub in 2024, including wildlife workshops, macrame and craft classes, cocktail parties, raffles, cooking classes and more.
They’ll also continue to deliver all the major community events we love, like the Halloween Spooktacular, Bindal Ridge Fun Run and annual Christmas in the park.
Whether you're a seasoned baker or crafter, or a newbie just wanting to get involved, ACES invites everyone to join in the fun and share their skills.
