Elliot Springs Brighter Futures Bursary is open for applications

We're excited to announce the Elliot Springs Brighter Futures Bursary is now open for applications.

The Brighter Futures Bursary supports students' learning endeavours for 2024 so that they are equipped to reach their full potential.

There are two bursaries available, each worth $500 for one year. The program is designed to assist and support residents of Elliot Springs with education expenses such as course costs, study materials and textbooks.

Elliot Springs resident, Natalie McFarlane was awarded the 2023 Brighter Futures Bursary and used the funds to pay for her university subject fees, as she undertakes a Bachelor of Nursing Science at James Cook University.

Today, Natalie is on the path to achieving her dream of becoming a registered paediatric nurse and says the bursary has been an enormous help in supporting her towards her career goals.

If you are a student living in Elliot Springs or a veteran who wants to convert your defence qualification through a recognised provider, consider applying for the Brighter Futures Bursary today.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Applications are open between 1 Dec 2023 and 1 January 2024. 
• The Brighter Futures Bursary is open for academically motivated students (and spouses and veterans) who are currently enrolled in, or have been offered, a place at an Australian Education Institution to study in 2024.
• The program supports study related expenses including accommodation costs, course costs, study-related materials, tutoring, textbooks and more.
