Christmas in the Park at Elliot Springs
Hosted by the QCWA ACES and Wesleyan Elliot Springs Methodist Church, Christmas in the Park at Elliot Springs is set to be a magical afternoon filled with Christmas cheer. Bring the whole family to enjoy live entertainment, market and food stalls, face painting, a jumping castle, a petting zoo, and Christmas crafts.
Santa and his Elves will make a grand entrance on a Rural Fire Truck, and you won't want to miss the huge Christmas raffle. Enjoy carols by Jimmy James and a movie screening of ‘The Polar Express’ under the stars.

Christmas Creations Aitkenvale
Presented by Townsville City Libraries, come and make your own decorations including an elf, stocking and Santa! This free activity is the perfect pre-Christmas craft activity for all ages. Bookings are required.

Christmas bauble making at the Museum of Tropical Queensland
Get hands-on and creative with the kids at the Museum of Tropical Queensland's Marine Scenes workshop. From December 11th to 22nd, children aged 6 to 12 can craft their own ocean-inspired diorama inside a Christmas bauble.
This exciting activity is free with Sea Monsters general admission, so dive into the holiday spirit and create a unique keepsake to hang on your tree.

The Stable at Riverway

The Stable at Riverway is back to spread Christmas cheer from December 18th to 22nd.
Immerse yourself in the timeless Bethlehem Christmas story with live animals, actors, and authentic props. This festival draws over 30,000 people to Riverway for five exciting nights, offering family-friendly activities like a side show alley, yarning circle, youth area, petting farm, and more. Enjoy local singers and musicians on two stages, indulge in a variety of foods at the nightly food fair, and don't miss the special 'food fiesta' and 'Christmas market night.'

New Years Eve Celebrations

Welcome the new year at one of Townsville City Council’s New Year’s Eve celebrations!
Head down to The Strand Park or the Riverway Stadium, at Riverway Precinct from 4pm. There will be food trucks and live music at both locations, so bring your picnic blanket and catch the fireworks at 8pm and 12pm.
