Our food truck events will be back in 2023 bigger and better than ever.  These fantastic events are designed as a great excuse for residents and their friends from all over Townsville to come together, have a night off cooking and enjoy beautiful Wadda Mooli Park under the stars.

Next event –  Returning Saturday 11 March 2023

These markets are held the second Saturday every month, 8am - 12noon at Wadda Mooli Park right here in Elliot Springs. The community event is hosted by the Alligator Creek Lions Club and allows you to buy direct from local suppliers, interact with your community and maintain local connections!

Located next to the Hub in Wadda Mooli Park, the foundations of the garden were officially laid in November 2021 as part of a Community Day project with QCWA Alligator Creek Elliot Springs (ACES)!

The ACES will be running a working bees throughout the year, harvesting vegetables and planting seedlings.

Bindal Ridge Fun Run will be back in 2023

Fun for the whole family

Are you ready to compete in a fun, family event that gets you into our great outdoors, while giving you the opportunity to connect with your fellow neighbours?

The annual Bindal Ridge Fun Run is a 5km race which will see the winners crowned King and Queen of the Springs. There is also a slower paced alternative for those that prefer flatter ground.

The Hub is your local community facility, featuring meeting and events space – a place for local not for profits, community groups, small businesses and residents to utilise. Managed by Essentially Fresh, who also run the café onsite, community organisations can access reduced hire rates for regular bookings. Essentially Fresh can also provide catering options to suit.

Room includes seating/tables/air conditioning/kitchen area/fridge/sliding doors. Storage area also available for regular users. The Hub opens onto Wadda Mooli Park at Elliot Springs. Access to ambulant and disabled toilet facilities (includes nappy change area).

Adjacent café is open 7.30am – 1.30pm Friday to Sunday (subject to change). Community space bookings available 7 days. Viewings welcome.

Elliot Springs Brighter Futures Bursary Program

Are you an Elliot Springs resident who is studying at university or TAFE or a veteran looking to convert your qualifications in 2023?

The Elliot Springs Brighter Futures Bursary program is your chance to receive a $500 bursary, to support study related expenses, such as course costs, study materials and textbooks. 

Applications are open from 1st December until the 31st January 2023.
