Porch Placemaking Competition
At a time when social interaction is limited – little moments of connection can make all the difference.
This September we’re encouraging our residents to get creative and participate in Porch Placemaking Week. Decorate your porch, balcony, front yard or driveway from September 27th – October 3rd and you could win one of 4 x $200 Bunnings Vouchers.
What are some ideas?
There are lots of small ways to participate and connect with your neighbours. You could share some art in your front window, hang fairy lights, create a chalk artwork on your driveway, display a sign, plant some flowers or something unique to your household. There are no rules to placemaking – we just ask that it’s COVID safe and family friendly.
How to enter
- Entries open Monday Sept 27th and close Sunday October 3rd 2021:

About Porch Placemaking Week
Porch Placemaking Week is a global initiative which encourages people to activate their front porch (or balcony, street, front yard, stoop or driveway) to create socially connected neighbourhoods as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative arose in 2020 whilst the majority of the world was in lockdown and saw 202 projects across 23 countries! Projects will be run across the world from 27th September - 3rd October.
