Jordan Springs’ Renee Gladecki thrives from empowering people to look and feel their best

What started out as an obsession with beauty Youtubers has proved to be a fruitful career for Jordan Springs local, Renee Gladecki.

As the owner of Makeup by Renee May, she has helped beautify people on some of their biggest milestone occasions – from high school formals right through to their wedding day.

Renee has been a makeup artist for the past eight years and offers everything from subtle makeup looks to full glam, hair extension applications and more.

The makeup and hair artist was recently recognised in the Penrith Press’ list of best makeup artists in Penrith, which came as a complete surprise to the creative.

“I can’t believe I was on the list,” Renee said.

In her eight-year career, Renee has ensured to consistently upskill to ensure she is offering the best possible service to her clients.

“I am fully accredited and have a Certificate III in Makeup and Skin Care – I trained at the Academy of Makeup in Paddington,” Renee said.

“I am also Melissa Sassine, Makeup by Jah and KYK Hair trained. I always try and keep my skills up to date, and am forever furthering my knowledge.”

While it was a love of makeup and beauty that inspired her career, her ongoing motivation comes from the way she can empower people and make them feel beautiful in their own skin.

“My favourite thing is making people feel beautiful and confident, and their reactions after they are glammed is priceless,” she said.

“I love to enhance and boost people’s confidence, not change or cover them.”

Renee has lived in Jordan Springs for two years with her husband and recently welcomed a little boy to the world.

The live, work and play lifestyle that Jordan Springs has to offer is very desirable for Renee and her young family, offering her the flexibility of being a working mum without having to stray too far from her son.

“Now that I have a son, working from home works perfectly for me,” she said.

“We were initially motivated to move here by the affordable house and land packages. But now, I love that Jordan Springs is close to everything, there is a lot around, including a good variety of parks.”
