Meet the team: Get to know Lendlease Development Manager, Megan Angelo
Lendlease is known for creating innovative masterplanned communities, and one of the most important pieces of the puzzle is the team that makes it happen, and brings the vision to life!
We sat down with Lendlease Development Manager Megan Angelo, to learn more about her role, what it’s like to shape a growing community, and what she loves most about Calderwood Valley.
What is your role and what does it involve?
My role as Development Manager involves working with a large number of stakeholders to obtain approvals and ultimately deliver the masterplan to our project timeline.
What does an average day at work look like for you?
An average day involves engaging with various consultants and internal teams via phone calls, emails and meetings. There is always something exciting happening on the project, which keeps things interesting and it’s rare for any two days to be the same.
How long have you been at Lendlease, and what is your professional background?
I’ve been at Lendlease for 3.5 years. Prior to joining Lendlease, I have worked on retirement living and apartment developments. I have a background in property economics and I started my career in property research.
What is your favourite thing about the job?
I love seeing the project, Calderwood Valley, as it progresses. I enjoy seeing residents moving in and the creation of a community in every sense of the word.
What is the best piece of career advice you have received or would share?
No one else will care as much about your career as you do, so take the time to seek out advice, support and opportunities.
In your opinion, what makes Calderwood Valley unique?
The natural beauty and picturesque vistas of the escarpment are what make Calderwood Valley unique. We are spoiled with a spectacular location which is surrounded by nature and also has access to some great beaches. It is the best of both worlds in terms of lifestyle and location!
What are you most looking forward to in 2023?
I’m excited to progress the design of the future sports fields, and engage with the community on the design so we can deliver something which will really benefit the community.
